Can physiotherapy help?

 

Physiotherapy can treat a wide variety of conditions. We excel at treating joints, tendons, ligaments muscles and nerves. This includes spinal pain, sports injuries, trapped nerves, sprains and strains.


Why should I choose Move Physio over other clinics?

 

We believe in a philosophy of you moving better to remove pain but also to prevent pain from reoccurring. We ensure you understand what movement patterns need to improve and empower you to make the changes needed. We have significant experience of helping people become pain-free and have helped people who have been in pain for some years but not found a solution with other therapists.


What should I expect from the appointment?

 

Your first appointment will last approximately 45-60 minutes. There will be a period of consultation to find out more about your injury after which an in-depth physical assessment will be undertaken. Before treatment, we will discuss in detail your diagnosis and how long it might take to recover from this.


How long will my treatment plan Last?

 

It is unique to every individual and is dependent on a variety of factors. However, for most injuries, we expect to have you pain-free in 4-6 sessions. Depending on the type of injury we might suggest further sessions to prevent the injury from reoccurring, but we will discuss this with you during your sessions if it is required.


What should I wear to the session?

 

For the best results, certain items of clothing may need to be removed so that body parts can be observed or treated. Your therapist will guide you as to what is needed and ensure you feel comfortable at all times. If the upper body is being treated, wearing a sports bra, stretchy leisure wear or loose vest top will be ideal. For the lower body shorts, stretchy leisure wear or leggings will be required.


What injuries do you treat?

 

All musculoskeletal, orthopedic, sporting or neurological conditions. Examples are wry neck, tortecollis, discogenic/slipped discs, shoulder impingement, golfers/tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, dislocating ribs, pelvic pain, sacroiliac pain, hip bursitis, gluteus medius tendinopathy, hamstring tendonopathy, ligament pain/rehab, ACL rehab, knee cap (patellofemoral joint) pain, sprained ankles, achilies tendonopathy, plantarfascia pain.
